A greedy treasure hunter with an advanced suit of armor that greatly increased his combat potential, Black Manta orchestrated a war between Atlantis and the surface world by bombing the former and manipulating King Orm into retaliating. He explains that the Human Flame's fire is the only one hot enough to cut the metal, which the three of them will shape into a weapon.Īround the world, seemingly unconnected black people are suffering the same attacks as Black Manta. Out of all of Aquaman's foes, Black Manta is the one that holds the strongest grudge against him.
